Recycling of elastomeric products is an important technological task. Transforming bulk waste rubber to powders using mechanical process is more economical compared to the chemical procedures for reclaiming. The recycled rubber powder (REP) is a low-cost, high-performance, sustainable raw material. The cryogenic turbo mill technology transforms end-of-life tires and other elastomeric products into powders for fabrication of advanced products including industrial rubber, high-performance tires, industrial plastics goods, construction materials and coatings. Rubber blends are technologically important materials in the industry as they achieve the best compromise in cost, processability and physical properties. The goal of this work was to prepare composites based on sulfur cured ternary blends of polyisoprene rubber, natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber filled with carbon black and waste rubber powder. Mechanical properties, namely tensile strength, elongation, have been assessed as a function of rubber powder content.
