Pedestrians represent one of the most endangered categories of all road users in traffic. Pedestrian knowledge of safe behaviour in traffic consists of its capability to know one's way around, theoretical knowledge of certain data and also of bearing in mind the posibility of the crash between pedestrian and vehicle. Pedestrian according to its pshysical capability, agility, speed of reflex action and clearness of perception chooses its own rute thus he is capable to move wherever he wants, but this could have a negative influence on his safety, also on the safety of all other road users. Pedestrian circulation is clearly defined in the Law of traffic safety on the roads in Serbia (2009). Pedestrian accidents represent a big issue in Serbia, where in the year of 2015 we had 158 deaths of the pedestrians and with severe injuries there were 793 pedestrians. The results of the survey regarding the pedestrian attitudes about crossing the street without any traffic light regulation for pedestrains and real behavior of the pedestrains while crrosing the road, with special retrospect on the usage of mobile phones and headphones will be shown in this research. Also, in this paper we will also show the results of comparative analysis of the survey and real behaviour of pedestrians while crossing. The goal behind this research is to establish the correlation between the gender and age structure with safe road crossing on the non-signalized pedestrian crosswalks.
