Introduction
"According to our knowledge, it is obvious that water on our planet has a far more important place than it has in the conscience of most people. There is a question from where comes the alienation of water of a man as a conscious being, alienation from the element that dominates our organism as it dominates the planet? It is being ruthlessly polluted, killed by chemicals, detergents, industrial waste. Five million people die of hunger and lack of water annually. The dramatic increase in the population forces and warns of the precious storage and use of water, an ordinary but so valuable beverage".(Kazazović 2008).
The goal
The basic aim of the paper is to refer to water as a specific fluid and its utilitarian value during the motion of the human body in it. Historical development of civilizations was mostly based on the confluence of large rivers or on the shores of the sea and the lake. The significance of the movement of the body in the water is of crucial importance for the survival of the human being. In modern times, in addition to biological needs, the man has found time for competition, entertainment and sports competition and swimming.
Research method with discussion
The research will use a descriptive and comparative analysis of the works of international and domestic authors. Apart from domestic and foreign authors, papers by authors from the region will be analyzed, that is those whose topics are related to similar issues as the one in this paper. The main goal of the paper refers to clean water and movement, or swimming in water as one of the specific fluids.
"Pure water has a specific weight of 1g/cm2 and represents the standard by which objects are compared. A body with a specific gravity of less than 1g/cm2 floats and the one with the specific weight greater than 1g/cm2 sinks. The human body, regardless of its composition, does not have the uniform specific gravity of all the tissues of which the human body is built. "(Madić, D., Okičić, T., Aleksandrović, M. 2007).
Conclusion
Swimming meetings originate from the Stone Age, but competition swimming began in Europe around 1800, and modern styles have evolved from that time. Swimming competitions were on the program of the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. Women were not allowed to compete, until the games in Stockholm in 1912.
