The production and application of biogas on the basis of organic remains is an industrial procedure, with which experts globally intend to contribute to finding a solution to the energy crisis, to environmental protection and the production of high quality natural fertilizer. Following global trends, as well as the needs of the Republic of Serbia, biogas-related activities are becoming visible and gaining more and more supporters. The work of the small number of industrial-scale facilities is insufficiently monitored, and the results are not open to the public. This paper presents the results of a research concerning the functioning of an industrial system for the production of gas.
