During recent years, optical measuring technologies in sheet metal forming and tooling have been used more and more in the industry. Good interfaces to conventional CAD/CAM and numerical simulation systems made such optical measuring systems a part of complex process chains.
In the paper present optical digitalizing sheet metal part rectangular sharp with 3D digitizer ATOS II 400. In addition to the geometry of the analyzed thickness and results compared with results obtained by numerical simulation. The advantage of this method of measurement is particularly noticeable in the measurement of the radius and sheet thickness on the radius as a critical point in the process of deep drawing.
