Since the global environmental crisis, energy saving concerns increase in the world. This paper analyzes use of different optimization algorithms on the optimal design of energy generation and storage elements of net-zero energy houses in Serbia. The applied optimization algorithms were coordinate search, Hoke-Jevees , particle swarm, Discrete Armijo Gradient, Hybrid GPS Algorithm with PSO Algorithm, and Simplex Algorithm of Nelder and Mead. Together with these optimization algorithms, EnergyPlus software is used to analyze energy consumption of the net zero energy house in a specific period. The observed time interval is a full year. Discrepancy of the results in the observed time interval may have both positive and negative values.
