Examples of implementation of passively safe support structures

In some EU members the implementation of passively safe support structures is regulated by guidelines in others it is still an optional decission. No matter what the case is the use of such products is strongly recommended by the EU Directive 2008/96/EU and the institutions in every country should be aware of all the benefits for the society. The article presents the recommendations for the use of passively safe support structures that comply to the relevant European standard. It presents also different examples of implementation of such kind of support structures beeing a column for public lighting or a pole for traffic sign.
