The view that materials science is one of the fastest growing fields today is still valid, and this also applies to the field of materials of interest to dentistry. The divisions can be very different, but one of the basic ones is that we are talking about biotissue, a material equivalent to biotissue and work on the prosthetic side of the problem, and that from the standard divisions: metals, dielectrics, semiconductors, the areas of composites, but also the era of nanoparticles, which have been providing new spaces for a long time, have emerged. The work follows on the one hand classic, well-proven materials, new, developed and those potentially of interest, thanks to new trajectories that lead to new, suitable characteristics in terms of mechanical, aesthetic, thermal, conductive properties, which can be achieved in a larger size or in miniature local areas, for the needs of some intervention. The work, in addition to the analysis, will have a part of the experimental type, theoretical simulations of interaction with the selected approach, but also further search for practical approaches and experimental diagnostics of pathogenicity and/or distinguishing pathogenic from healthy tissue, depicting the state of the dental structure as a prosthetic part with predicted loads. It will also compare some elion operations (where laser is included, but also other ion, plasma, microwave treatments) and the possibility of changing the surface properties of the material in order to achieve better bonding with tissue, longer life time, etc. A special part of the work will be devoted to the educational side and elements of protection in normal conditions and in pandemic conditions.
