The implementation of advanced Industry 4.0 technologies is increasingly evident across all sectors of modern society, with robotics—both industrial and service-oriented—playing a particularly significant role. The growing deployment of service robots in medical institutions introduces new design paradigms, in which materials that come into direct contact with patients and clinical environments are of critical importance. This paper analyzes the application of biomaterials in shaping the structural and functional characteristics of service robotic systems intended for use in healthcare facilities. The research focuses on the principles of biomaterial selection, their biocompatibility, resistance to sterilization processes, and their ability to adapt to the complex requirements of medical applications while ensuring mechanical reliability and operational safety. Particular attention is devoted to contemporary research directions involving smart and responsive polymers, bioinspired composite structures, and additive manufacturing technologies, which enable the development of customized and patient-centered robotic solutions. Furthermore, the paper emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration among engineering, biomedicine, and materials science, highlighting biomaterials as a decisive factor in the continued development of safe, adaptive, and sustainable service robots in medical applications
