NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF DUCTILE FRACTURE BY PHASE-FIELD MODEL

The big issue in fracture mechanics is the lack of possibility to detect damage nucleations and the way they will merge into new initial crack. This problem could be overcome by phase-field approach. This paper presents verification of implemented phase-field model for ductile fracture of elasto-plasic solids into in-house software package PAK used for calculations of structures based on the Finite Element Method. Numerically implemented phase-filed model is verified on the example of tension of elasto-plastic solid.
