It has become quite obvious that motivation is one of the central research themes for managers, psychologists, sociologists, pedagogy specialists and all those who deal with human resource studies. Motivation is one of the most important factors of human social behavior which represents the deepest reflection of an individual personality. Its basis is a human need or expectation that requires satisfaction or fulfilment. This paper is based on one of many motivation theories which exist, and that is Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. The paper shows how different needs affect one another, or more precisely, how the respondents’ gender, age, employment history and education reflect on their need satisfaction.
