The process of processing hardened steel is increasingly present in many laboratories and production facilities. The application of the processing process by scraping hardened materials instead of grinding is effective in terms of productivity, it gives a good quality of the processed surface and satisfactory durability of the tool. In recent years, a large number of scientists have been engaged in research into the cutting process in order to find the dependence between the cutting mode as input parameters and the output performance of the turning process of hardened materials. The paper also examined the influence of different types of tool material, different tool geometry, and tool wear on the output performance of the process.
In order to model cutting resistance, surface roughness and cutting temperature, experimental data and two types of models were used, using a central compositional three-factor plan and artificial intelligence.
Realized experimental research represents a special scientific contribution in this currently insufficiently researched area.
