Tribological properties of Austempered Ductile (ADI), as well as of the other materials, can be determinated by measuringthe friction force in the tribo-mechanical systems (energetic aspect) and by measuring the chosen parameter of wear (economic aspect) on critical elements of tribo-mechanical systems.
Tribological properties of nodular cast irons (ADI) EN-GJS-500-7 and EN-GJS-700-2, that are treated isothermally and classical procedures, are investigated a long time on tribometer "Pin and Disk". The friction coefficient and PQ index are used for identification tribological properties of nodular cast irons in contact with carbide steel.
In this paper is presented a part of experimental results about influence of two parameter of metalurgical structure of nodular cast iron EN-GJS-500-7 on its tribological properties.
