In this paper, an optimization of a solar cooling system will be carried out together with wind power plants as a hybrid system. The Critical Excess of Electricity produced during the night with wind systems will be used for heating of the stored water which will be later used in the absorption unit for the production of cooled energy. Using wind energy in this hybrid system will increase the share of renewable energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This paper uses the modular environment of Simulink/Matlab to model individual solar cooling system components, and to assemble the entire installation layout. The results will show that the modular approach strategy provided by Matlab/Simulink environment is applicable to a hybrid system modeling and provide the dimensions of the required system based on the heating or cooling demand and the location.
