Container transport occupies a high percentage of transport carried out, primarily because of its high efficiency of realization and protection of goods during the transportation process. However, due to the increasing volume of container transport is often the problem of storage and transport of empty receptacles (from locations where there is no need for empty containers to the location where the high demand for them). One way of solving this problem is a container triangulation. Container triangulation principle is to minimize the transport of empty containers and their storage, in terms of their employment immediately after unloading at the end of the preliminary procedure transport. Solving the problem of empty containers is very important to speed up the complete system supply chain, in order to improve its efficiency. Diploma thesis elaborates problem triangulation container, with the aim of presenting a closer and get acquainted with this method of solving the problem of empty containers.
