CONSTRUCTION AND DIMENSIONING OF A BORDER REINFORCED CONCRETE PILLAR FOR STOCK EXPLOATATION IN THE VEINED PART BELOW LEVEL 590 OF THE VARBA-BATANTSI MINE
Very often, when developing veined deposits of minerals, borderline pillars (above and below the gallery) are left to ensure the geomechanical stability. These pillars are often left over and at the same time they are resized. The dimensioning of the border ore separating pillars of this type is usually complex due to: 1) the unknown acting stresses (natural and induced); 2) the influence of mining activities on the increasing volume of the massif; 3) dynamic and static loads that act singly or co-act on the pillar, etc. This publication aims to present a different technological approach in applying the layer system of development with filling. The report presents a technological solution to the problem: building an artificial separation pillar made of reinforced concrete. The work is designed for implementation in connection with the exploitation of stocks in the veined part of the "Varba-Batantsi" mine located in Bulgaria.
