This paper presents experimental results of the influence of porosity on the cutting ability of bandsaw tools for processing cylindrical, thick-walled raw piece obtained by centrifugal casting. Since the tested tool from carbide teeth is multiply-cutting, with variable increments between each tooth and different tooth geometry, small irregularities in the treated material can lead to chipping the edge of the teeth. As a result of mismatch of process parameters during centrifugal casting, structural changes and inhomogeneities are possible, which may substantially affect the cutting ability and shorter service life of these cutting tools.
