The paper Space in Fashion Design - Case Study Ƒ2 (Fabiani Fashion) architectural objects of Slovenian architect and landscape designer Maks Fabiani and understanding of space of the objects in historical context, aesthetical perception, psychological detection, social relations and stylistic manifestations are transferred into garment forms by using creative contraction method. Space has a material value (physical dimension) and a philosophical concept (abstract dimension). Case study Ƒ2 (Fabiani Fashion) connects complex architectural and urban spatial solutions in contemporary versions of wearable garments. It explores the architectural structures into visual clothing articulation by using creative construction method in the creative process of designing forms. Developed creative construction method creates two-dimensional patterns directly from the three-dimensional forms that are results of the sculptural process of designing clothing directly on the mannequin. The developed creative construction method is evolved with the use of standard matrix of basic blocks and implementation of the sculptural work by creating three-dimensional paper forms from the inside to the outside. Designing garments for the project Ƒ2 (Fabiani Fashion) embedded construction process into the creation process. The use of creative construction in the case study Ƒ2 (Fabiani Fashion) enables creating empty spaces between the body and garment contour. Generating ideas, human as the center point of the creative process, reflection of human’s taste and understanding of the sheath around the space are some of the parallels in fashion design and architecture creative process that have been questioned and researched in the case study Ƒ2 (Fabiani Fashion).
