Aerodynamics is the study of the air flow, particularly it interaction with a solid object, such as an airplane wing. Aerodynamics is a sub-field of fluid dynamics and gas dynamics, and many aspects of aerodynamics theory are common to these fields. During subsonic flow airfoils are subjected to both static and dynamic loads, due to which it pose great challenge to analyze the aerodynamic characteristics of an Airfoils.
The paper focus on experimental data for aerodynamic flow in a open wind tunnel on an NACA 0015 Airfoil. The air velocity and the angle of attack is changed during the experiment. The velocity and pressure distribution on airfoil under surrounding flow are being measured. Those data and results are then compared with the results form a numerical simulation (CFD).
