During thermal calculation of evaporator important part is calculation of appropriate heat transfer coefficient. Heat transfer coefficient in space betwen tubes in the tube bundle is calculated in several ways, because there is no completely reliable model for its determination. The expressions of Mostinski, and Cornvell and Houston give dispersions of up to 23%. Expressions of Rosenhow, Ratiani and Shekriladze and Labuncov are unreliable in this case, becausethe calculated values of heat transfer coefficient have very large deviations, and are unrealistic values. A possible explanation of this scattering of results lies inthe fact that the expressions of Mostinski and Cornvell and Houston require a very small number of thermophysical properties of
the mixture which evaporates, which are otherwise very difficult to reliably determine.
