Elastic element is the most important mechanical part of the measuring force transducers with electroresistance measuring tapes. In response to the load, it acts as a spring of high precision and low deformation. Its main feature are: linearity between force and deformations, low hysteresis, little creep, small stress relaxation, etc. The achievement of these characteristics at high metrology requirements significantly depends on the properties of the material it is made of. The influence of material properties of elastic elements of the measuring force transducer on its metrological characteristics is analyzed in this paper.
