Important stage in design process is to search variants on the base of initial product. In this work the variant of assembly units presented product made on the base of initial assembly unit. It is different from initial assembly unit, but exercise the same general function.
The purpose of this work is to proposed some methods for realizing the variant of assembly unit.
In this work are given following methods:
● change the element of the cycle;
● combining and addition of edges;
● free resources;
● modification.
The methods are proposing possibilities for system search of variants. They can be use as for hand design, as for data base design, or developing of a system for formalized receive of modifications of arbitrary assembly unit.
