Albania is a country of the Balkans where are found and exploited several minerals, and such as limestone, argil, quartz, sandstone, basalts, etc.
The exploitation of construction minerals is done with carriers. As a result of the exploitation, are being increased bare land surfaces. Therefore, the exploitation of industrial minerals in 2016, added 4.3 km2 of bare land surface to the surface exploited in years for all carriers.
The exploitation of construction minerals provides the necessary mineral outputs, but in the meantime it also generates environmental impacts, which may include:
o It destroys plants from the land surface, damages flora and habitats therein;
o It enlarges considerably bare land surfaces;
o It creates premise for surface erosion with consequences not only on the exploited land surfaces but even wider;
o It creates premises for massive rock slide of bare land surfaces;
o It creates conditions for ecological catastrophes and massive accidents;
o It damages the relief and the visual landscape;
