In this paper is given procedure for solving differential equation of movement of the rail vehicle during braking by using MATLAB/Simulink. It is known that on the braking road of rail vehicle affect several factors that can not be defined and determined precisely. Braking road play an important role in the organization of rail traffic and exploitation of rail vehicles. Procedure presented in this paper allows determining several factors that affect on the length of breaking road. In this paper as example is taken electric train. Influence of specific resistance during movement of the train, braking force and adhesion between wheel and rail is presented also.
