Abstract: The paper presents the applications of the state of art façade technology to a net-zero energy buildings. These applications are presented for Serbian weather conditions. The energy consumption is calculated by different methods and the applications are economically evaluated during the life cycle of the building. The applications are furthermore discussed regarding their dissemination. The level of the state support is found that is necessary to rise up to achieve the significant economical and energy influence to our society.
Buildings are the greatest energy consumers, through heating and cooling, and improvement of insulation may drastically decrease energy consumption and save money. Contrary to other methods of energy efficiency insulation, as well as right windows pattern and right choice of insulation glass units give these characteristics throughout entire building life cycle, saving energy all the time and increasing comfortable conditions of inhabitants.
