Radiant panels are known to be energy efficient sensible heating systems and a suitable fit for low-energy buildings. The main goal of this paper is to optimize the thermal insulation layer of the radiant panels. This work is conducted study for four radiant systems: floor heating system, wall heating system, ceiling heating system and floor-ceiling heating system located in a net-zero-energy house in Kragujevac, Serbia. The operation of these panels is simulated by software EnergyPlus that is product of Lawrence Berkley Laboratory in USA. For the optimisation of the optimal length of the thermal insulation software GenOpt is used.
