Non-systematic and inadequate waste treatment is one of the biggest problems of environmental policy in the Republic of Serbia, especially when it comes to hazardous waste. The constant advancement of society is conditioned by the rapid development of modern technologies, leading to increased production and use of various electrical devices and equipment, without which everyday life is unthinkable. Electronic waste is some inevitable nus - the product of the technological revolution. Raw materials used in the production of electronic equipment have their negative impact, so the problem with electronic and electrical waste is increasing and contributing significantly to overall environmental pollution. Environmental aspects of generating electronic and electrical waste as part of the ecological crisis will be analyzed through its work, its negative impact on the environment and human health. Systematized scientific knowledge should provide us with guidelines for solving the problems of its waste through the introduction of a circular economy system. The redistribution of responsibilities between producers and consumers must contribute to the full affirmation of environmental awareness of the disastrously negative impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment and human health.
