As the energy transition gains momentum, attention is turning from renewable energy sources (RES) to the materials from which they are made as a way to boost decarbonization efforts. Incorporating sustainable materials into clean energy solutions helps reduce their environmental impact and can potentially improve their performance or efficiency. In today's technologically advanced society, there is no longer an area of the real world where reliability predictions are not used to achieve the necessary system security. The importance of reliability analysis and the monitoring of partial reliability properties is increasing, and therefore the requirements for reliability analyzes are increasing. This particularly applies to systems for renewable energy sources (RES). The paper presents an overview of modern materials for the development of systems for renewable energy sources (RES), as well as an analysis of the reliability of those systems.
