The major minerals present in the globe are complexes consisting of a central atom surrounded tetrahedrally by oxigen with the O-Si-O bond angle only slighty dexiating from the ideal value of 109°. Olthough the Si-O bond is approximately 50% ionic and 50% covalent. The charge of an isolated tetahedron is [SiO4]4-. The SiO4 tetrahedron is the building unit of all silicate structures i.e. minerals goods. Two SiO4 tetrahedra joined together to form an [Si2O7]6- unit. The major task in this work is anion [SiO4]4-.Water plays an leading role in the generation of various silica modifications. In this paper is presented an owerview of water influence on physico-chemical behaviors of some silica minerals from Balcan Peninsula. The few samples of these minerals are considered. X-ray diffraction was used for obtaining of information of the structure of the silicate minerals. IR spectroscopy was used for detecting the water content in silicates and determination of their dynamics.
